The Sheep Detectives is a charming whodunit with talking sheep, sharp humor and surprisingly heartfelt themes about grief, purpose and connection.

Kinds of Kindness is not the most straightforward film. Lanthimos always challenges his audience, and I found myself scratching my head, trying to decipher what he was really trying to say. But that’s part of what makes him such a brilliant director.

The Instigators doesn’t exactly break new ground, and its ending feels a bit rushed, but it compensates with impressive car chases and some intriguing political commentary on heroism and the armed forces.
