Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein is a beautiful monster film that sometimes moves too slowly.

I'm starting to not like director Ti West because he's making me find delight in very dark and depraved material. I'm kidding of course, but somehow you leave Pearl with a smile on your face despite witnessing gruesome murders and maggot-infested pigs.

X is a horror movie that has a lot to say and is not the least bit subtle about it. Do you like your buckets of gore mixed in with repression and condemnation?
